Kiyanovsky Artem Aleksandrovich – Director of educational complex “School of Liberal Art” of Kherson Regional Council, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Corresponding Member of Academy of Pedagogical and Social Sciences of the Russian Federation, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine.

Born March 31, 1969 in Kherson. In 1991 he graduated from N.K. Krupskaya Kherson State Pedagogical Institute and got the qualification of a teacher of physics, informatics and computer science.

During the studies he successfully combined his work at the Pioneers House in the Dneprovsky District of Kherson as a methodologist. After graduation he worked as an organizer-teacher in Muzykivska secondary school of Belozerskiy region, as Methodist in Pioneers House of Pioneers of Dneprovskiy region of Kherson. Since December 1991 he was appointed as the director of secondary School of Liberal Art.

In 1996 he finished post-graduate studying at Kherson State Pedagogical Institute, and in 2001 was awarded the Doctoral diploma by the Institute of Educational Problems of APS of Ukraine on the base of public defense dissertation . Kiyanovskiy received the degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Science. In 2001 he graduated from Kherson State Agrarian University, specialty “Accounting and Auditing”, where he received a Master’s degree in accounting and auditing.

The main direction of A.Kiyanovskiy’s scientific activity as the director of the experimental private school of liberal art was approbation of methods and subjects for mass schools in Ukraine and introduction of new educational courses from humanitarian disciplines. The result of this scientific and pedagogical activity was the curriculum, which provides, in addition to mandatory subjects: English and German languages, basics of criminal law and procedure, philosophy, history of religion, Greek and Roman mythology, art history, art work, music from Kabalevsky system, theater, choreography, chess. In addition, English, German, Russian and Ukrainian languages are taught in the institution according to the programs of special schools. Kiyanovskiy actively shares his experience not only with teachers in Ukraine, but also with teachers in the Russian Federation through presentations at Ukrainian and international seminars and publications in scientific and methodical journals in both countries.

Educational complex “School of Liberal Art” of the Regional Council is the only educational institution in the region, which has been granted the status of laboratory of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine. It means that new methods of teaching and upbringing of children are elaborated and introduced at the school, which are then spread through all educational institutions of Ukraine.

Also, according to the work plan of the Humanization of Education and Upbringing Laboratory of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, together with the scientific-methodological Council of the school, the laboratory holds meetings and scientific-practical conferences.

A.Kiyanovskiy is the author of about 60 nominated works . Among them are methodical textbooks and recommendations, developments of programs of additional courses, reference books, monographs and articles devoted to the issues of training and education of the younger generation in the conditions of humanization of the educational process.

Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Kiyanovskiy is one of the famous pedagogical innovators of our time. In 1997 he was awarded the badge “Excellent worker of education of Ukraine” for the development and implementation of new educational courses, in 2001 was awarded the title of “Teacher-Methodologist”, and in 2006 was awarded the honorary title “Honored Educator of Ukraine.

For his weighty contribution to the revival of spirituality in society he was repeatedly awarded by the Orthodox Church. He is a Knight of the Order of Saint Prince Volodymyr, 3rd Degree; full Cavalier of the Order of Nestor the Chronicler; Venerable Sergius of Radonezh, 2nd Degree; Equal Apostles Prince Vladimir; Order of Saint Demetrius (Tuptal), Metropolitan of Rostov.

2002-2006 – Deputy of Kherson City Council.

2006-2010 – Deputy of the Kherson Regional Council.

2010-2015. – Deputy of the Kherson Regional Council in the 41st majoritarian constituency;

2015 г. – elected deputy of the Kherson City Council.

The pedagogical staff is a model of high pedagogical excellence, which pays great attention to self-education and education, development of children’s creative abilities, involving them in co-creative activities in all kinds of activities.

– 3 Candidates of Pedagogical Sciences;
– 2 postgraduate students;
– 15 teachers are honored educators of Ukraine;
– One teacher was awarded the badge “Sophia Rusova”;
– 26 teachers have the title of “Teacher-Methodologist”;
– 11 teachers have the title of Senior Teacher;
– 51 specialists of the highest qualification category;
– 7 educators have the title of “Methodist Educator”;
